To Tropical Audoboners:
First of all want to thank all that responded to my last RFI on 7 exotics. I've made plans to find those. But looking at Pranty's book, pp. 313-317, one notes a long list of non-native species w/asterisks that have bred successfully in Florida, and I am wondering therefore if any of these (below) are still established these days, or, if like Blue-Gray Tanager and Red-cr. Cardinal, they've passed on. Does anyone have any ideas about where to find feral populations of these?
1. Black Swan
2. Bean Goose
3. Graylag "
4. Egyptian "
5. Mandarin
6. Gray-necked Woodrail
7. Sarus Crane
8. Diamond Dove
9. Red Lory
10. Gr Sulphur-cr. Cockatoo
11. Senegal Parrot
12. Rueppell's "
13. Hispaniolan "
14. Red-lored "
15. Orange-fronted Parakeet
16. Brown-throated "
17. Jungle Myna
18. Red-capped Cardinal
19. Chestnut Mannakin
20. Java Sparrow
Thank you for any news on any one of these.
Best
