This was a surprise even to those of us who routinely work with Everglades NP. Rock Jetty and I are checking into the details (so far everyone seems surprised), and are hopeful that this is only a temporary closure.
I can add to the species list out there and say that on a couple occasions I've even seen Burrowing Owls.
