You guys should stop by Green Cay on weekends sometime! I post updates of Green Cay all the time here, and it's usually met with crickets...too far north I guess for the Miami board. But now I find there are some other TASboarders coming up this way.
I find the hawk incident interesting, in that I've not seen a red-shouldered hawk doing that, but HAVE seen northern harriers go after moorhens quite often. I've seen them fly off with them, stand and eat them on the ground where they killed them, drop them on the boardwalk while flying over and come back to retrieve them...seems the harriers are usually the most aggressive moorhen hunters at Green Cay when I'm there.
I wouldn't mind seeing Don's pics of the incident, but they don't seem to be working.
