651 Peregrines tallied at the Florida Keys Hawkwatch - new single day record!

An impressive 651 Peregrine Falcons were counted from the Florida Keys Hawkwatch, Curry Hammock State Park TODAY. This is a new world record for a single-day count of that species!

Thanks to everyone that was there - an amazing day! Highlights included several Short-tailed Hawks, Swainson's Hawks, a Mississippi Kite, 283 Sharpies, 226 American Kestrels and much more.

Passerine flights into Long Key have been excellent recently. Will soon post about that too. Come down to the Middle Keys!
