This morning I began with a failed attempt to find Black-whiskered Vireos at the botanical site on Key Largo... the high winds kept me from finding much of anything besides a few flyover White-crowned Pigeons. A quick trip to Barnes on my way back was more productive, including the following:
Blue-headed Vireo (many)
Blue Jay (on a nest)
Tufted Titmouse
Hermit Thrush
Pine Warbler
Wilson's Warbler
Orange-crowned Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler (singing)
Northern Parula
American Redstart
Prairie Warbler
plus something singing that I never found, sounded like an oriole
Also, for those who were on the sunday trip to barnes... were the Black-whiskered Vireos found with the main flock or off on their own somewhere?
