Nashville Warblers (2 total) continue to be seen at Founders Park, Plantation Key.
The park had many birds this afternoon, yet most gravitated around a fruiting Strangler Fig tree near the north end.
Many individuals of 16 warbler species, 3 thrush species, Baltimore Orioles and Summer Tanagers were among the birds seen on this one tree!

Mississippi Kite and Merlin were also seen from the park.

At the Florida Keys Hawkwatch, a total of 10 Mississippi Kites were seen, with a kettle of 9 moving southward sometime after 4pm. The first 3-digit Peregrine Falcon day of 2012 was reached September 23, with 121 PEFA. This is only the beginning! Come by and visit us at the hawkwatch!
