At about twelve today, yours truly heard then found a Carolina Chickadee (given size, amount of buff, call, and location). John Boyd, Nancy Freedman, Juan Vilamil, Paul Bithorn, and I watched the bird, which was dwarfed compared to his Prairie Warbler friend, for a good two minutes before getting rained on. The bird was between the two nature trails between the fountain and the swing sets/buildings near the northeast parking lots. They are vocal birds, so you should have a good chance seeing tomorrow on the TAS walk.
Warbler species just north of the boardwalk included a molting male Magnolia, two female Blackpolls, Orange-crowned, Black-throated Blue, Black-and-white, and Prairie Warblers. Cooper's Hawk, Tufted Titmouse, Blue-headed Vireo, and Brown Thrasher were also seen.
I apologize to Stormcrow if I mispronounced anything on this post. Actually, no I don't.
