Following in Bill's footsteps, we pushed down to Anhinga Trail and saw three gar, one green back heron, and 5 only tourists...until the FIU busses came. At Mahogany Hammock....nothing...at flamingo two Red-shouldered hawk and 8 tourists, no campers, the place was empty of people, animals and catch this: I'm shouting here NO DEER FLY, NO HORSE FLY NO MOSQUITOS. Eco-pond is a disaster totally overgrown. The flats supported a few egrets and herons but nothing of ignificance.
But it was nice to be out.
Oh yes, the ag fields are completely dry. Big surprise considering that Parkland and Coral Springs still has standing water.
Oh, oh yes....Robert Is Here is open again. Can the mogration be far behind when they open?
