This is not an verified fact, just an opinion, but I believe CONW migrate over the ocean east of us in fall. I've only seen one during fall migration, and coincidently it occurred one day in October aboard a mega-cruise ship southeast of Florida when migrating birds started landing on the ship. There were many warbler species involved, plus tanagers and a bobolink that almost knocked itself out crashing into a glass door. The Connecticut landed on the rug on one of the decks as I sat in one of the lounge chairs. Talk about easy birding! Later that day I rescued a Redstart from the daycare room when I went to pick up my daughter.
