Thanks for tip on the woodpecker presence. That was one tough shoot because of sun angle, tilt of the tree, and some very noisy people hollering and screaming. But I did get some pictures of note. From the looks of the tree this may well be the last year for this nest.

Also noted that the anhinga presence caused the nesting pair some real problems. When the anhinga perched on top of the tree there was no feeding. When the anhinga left the pair came in rapidly and often (bringing cached food?). Dahoon holly seemed to be the food of choice although the fecal sacks indicate that dragonflies may have been on the menu too.
