Today, February 22nd, Arthur & Anne Wilson & I dipped on the Western Spindalis at Indigenous park in Key West despite some five hours of diligent searching. When was the last time it was seen I wonder? We did see some nice birds including Baltimore Oriole, Northern Waterthrush, Orange-crowned Warbler, Ovenbird, Northern Parula, Prairie Warbler, Painted & Indigo Bunting, White-crowned Pigeon and a gazillion Gray Catbirds, one of which was banded (shiny metal band on right leg). Who bands birds at Indigenous Park? Anyone know?
