Impressive bird list Jay! Thanks for participating and sharing your results. San Diego county is a heck of a place to bird. I was curious so I looked up a few comparisons:
San Diego county
4,200 sq miles of land
6,535 ft elevation range
Miami-Dade county
1,900 sq miles of land
25-30 ft elevation range...but just wait, our landfill Mt. Trashmore is now 150 ft and we'll probably have White-tailed Ptarmigan in a few years.
The June challenge is always a fun way to get out and find expected/unexpected birds!
