Tropical Audubon also has this page which will help you get a good idea of hot spots on Miami and the immediate area:

Areas in Homestead and around Florida City (south of Miami) will probably be one of the best places to experience good birds, as will the Everglades National Park. For "Miami Specialties", TAS also has another great page:

Your best bet when looking for the specialty birds would be chasing down Burrowing Owl, Short-tailed Hawk, Spot-breasted Oriole, Smooth-billed Ani, and parrots (although Belize will give you a lifetimes worth). With good searching, you could arrive easily over 110 or 120. Good luck,
