This may sound like a fisherman's story... like i said i walked 4 miles and when the sun came out from behind the clouds it was blazing hot. Unfortunately, when i saw the bird i was taking a break from heat exhaustion. I sat down on the road to have some water and did not have time to get the camera since the bird was not posing on the grass but flying away from my direction. I like the challenge though and i'm going to try my very best to photograph an American Bittern. It would be an honor to be the first to photograph such species in the state of Florida.

What are the chances of seeing a White-Crowned Pigeon in Palm Beach county in the Spring? Has anyone gotten a picture of that in the Spring. I do have one (or several) for evidence. Also i saw what it seemed to be a Brewer's Blackbird yesterday. It looked identical to a fully grown male Red-winged blackbird but completely black with yellow eyes. I know the Red-winged blackbird's call and song and it wasn't it for sure. That'll be my second challenge Bill. At this point i am most confident on getting the American Bittern than the Brewer's Blackbird since i had never seen one before ever in the state of Florida.
