Barn Owls- Chekika

On 6/12, I found four Barn Owls in the Chekika area. I noted more Hispid Cotton Rats than previous years, as well, which I believe someone has mentioned recently. One flew parallel to the car at civil twilight, it's silhouette against the fading light to the west.

Among seven snake species encountered, a Coral Snake and a Pygmy Ratttlesnake were the highlights by far. I have seen neither at this location before.
