Wakodahatchee Wetlands yielded some nice year birds today including the four Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks some 15 feet off of the boardwalk and a similarly photogenic Least Bittern in the same area. Other nice FOTY birds for us were Purple Gallinule, a screaming banshee Limpkin, a few Soras, both Blue-winged & Green-winged Teal and nesting Anhingas and Great Blue Herons.

Okeeheelee Nature Center on Forest Hill Blvd. in West Palm Beach welcomed us with a pair of Sandhill Crane "greeters" ala WalMart as we entered the Nature Center. The feeders provided nice looks at a male Painted Bunting and other "usual" birds.
