Miami-Dade did really well today, with multiple birders across the county reporting fantastic birds for the month of June:

Andy Lantz added Reddish Egret to the Miami-Dade effort with a bird at Matheson Hammock Park.

On Key Biscayne, Dan Smyth added several birds from both yesterday and today, including Black Skimmer, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Black-crowned Night-Heron, and Prairie Warbler.

Rangel Diaz's exploits in the southern part of the county and Everglades National park added Pine Warbler, Eastern Towhee, Chuck-will's-widow, and Short-tailed Hawk (the best of all).

Larry Manfredi's feeders were 'graced' with Shiny, Bronzed, and Brown-headed Cowbirds (two of which were new to the list).

I managed to squeeze in an extra bird for the overall effort when I had a Red-whiskered Bulbul first thing in the morning near the Shibui Restaurant on Sunset Drive.

Go, Miami-Dade!

Carlos
