Birding near Del Ray Beach in April

My husband and I will be visiting Del Ray Beach from 4/16 - 4/20. We've never birded South Florida before and would like to hear suggestions regarding the best spots to visit. We live in New England and haven't done much birding outside the northeast, so any birds that we wouldn't typically see in NE would be target birds for us. We need to stay within about 1-1/2 hours of Del Ray Beach, unless there's a really great spot a bit further than that!
