Bill, If you can get out to the Everglades on Rt 8/41 anywhere thru there you will see tons of birds; red shouldered hawks, osprey, wood storks, egrets, herons, spoonbills, kingfishers, anhingas etc. have never seen flamingos except at the race track. Everglades Nat'l Park is way out west of Miami and is best seen by boat. Loop Road is also an awesome place for birds deep in Big Cypress Nat'l Forest off 41. Enjoy your birding trip.
