I am preparing for 7 days of birding and photography in the Big "E". Usually I get pictures of more birds than I can ident but John B, Alex and others always help out. If you be out and about, look for me. Pishing in the bushes :<}

My last visit to Lucky Hammock was a bit disconcerting...all the men with their guns hunting dove.

Also, saw two sandhill crane near the sheriff's stables at Okeeheelee last sunday. That was sort of cool. The birds just calmly walked by me. And speaking of Okeeheelee, the indigo buntings are there as are the painted buntings in good numbers. And, I swear, the same ovebird that comes each winter and hangs-ten in the same place.
