Tropical Audoboners and Florida birding aficianados:

Coming down for our kids' baseball tourney last ten days of June, and considering options between games in West Palm Beach. Other than Vincent Lucas' post on his encounter with Rose-ringed Parakeets in Naples, does anyone know of any other good Naples sites? Also--any news of White-eyed and Dusky-headed Parakeets in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale areas? I know only the RR is "countable", but still.

Finally--considering taking the ferry to Freeport from West Palm Beach, specifically in hopes of landing a few of the Grand Bahama goodies one notes in James Bond (GA Pewee, RL Thrush, Bananaquit, Bahama Woodstar, W. Spindalis, TB Vireo, etc). Is Rand Nature Center any good, or are there any other spots not too far from Freeport? Figure on taking taxi.

Most grateful for any info you might have, totally psyched for this third family outing to FL. The first two were simply terrific, and it will be baseball and birds as the theme this time.
