Unfortunately our lone Least Tern nest was washed out after Tuesday nights heavy rains. Mom nor the egg were seen in the marked off area in front of Life Guard stand #12 (South Beach Entrance) since Wednesday this week. We will go ahead and keep the area marked off hoping the female may lay another egg or maybe even have some more birds try and nest on the beach. It is a very sad loss... There is still plenty of tern activity though so we are still keeping our hopes high!
