I heard one jay in my yard the other day, but am seeing nothing like the numbers I normally have. Last summer, they were around daily, but now I just see one a week or so. They have also pretty much disappeared from the parking lot where I work, just south of the airport on LeJeune. On the Kendall CBC last Sunday, we were also remarking on the total absence of jays at Matheson Hammock and Fairchild Tropical Gardens.

: Blue jays don't migrate. They may roam a bit, but that's all. I too, have had a crash in my blue jay population recently from 5-6 to 0-1. Blue jays are corvids (crow family), and as such are especially susceptible to West Nile Virus. I hope that's not the answer.
