Are you sure your CONW wasn't a Female Common Yellowthroat. The behavior and the habitat certainly suggest that it would be. With all the trails and under-story around why would a Connecticut Warbler act like a Common Yellowthroat? Connecticut Warblers also don't respond to pishing and they aren't shy.
I guess anything is possible, but I wouldn't have people/birders travel to look in that specific area of the park for a Connecticut. The park is good for the bird this time of year, but I can think of many other locations in the park that have better habitat. Like the cross road by the white gate and the bathrooms.
