Larry just called to say he found a Bahama Mockingbird at Spanish River Park while looking for the La Sagra's. Way to go Larry! But, it's now a Zenaida Dove (arrggghhh). Directions: From I-95 in Boca Raton, head east on CR 794 to North Federal Hwy. Turn right (south) and go to CR 800/NE Spanish River Blvd. Turn left (east) and go to IA/North Ocean Blvd. Turn right (south) and go to park's north entrance (fee, GPS 26.384104,-80.068531, DeLORME p. 115 ). Bahama Mockingbird was located near where the La Sagra's was seen. From the parking lot take mulch path towards the State Police Marina and canoe/kajak launch. Take the trail going right (north) for ~100 feet and look for a huge fruiting Ficus with green flagging on it.
