Juniper and Parr (1998) is a poor reference for nomenclature because they use so many non-standard, avicultural names -- using "Green-cheeked Amazon" for the bird that all field guides call Red-crowned Parrot is another example. Also, some of the plates leave much to be desired -- the illustrations of White-winged and Yellow-chevroned parakeets are especially poor, with transposed body colors and primary patterns, and with the White-winged showing fully-feathered green lores.
Thanks for the additional pix; the apparent lack of red on the "thighs" was a concern of mine about your original photos. But the additional pix show that the bird clearly has red on the "thighs."
BTW, your photos are the first verifiable evidence for Scarlet-fronted Parakeet in Florida; I have been told that other photos exist but I haven't track down them yet. So nice job.
