Hi Cindy,

Parts of your description suggest a Superb Starling, which is native to Africa. There have been several recent observations in (I think) the Hollywood area, obvious escapees.

To my knowledge, nobody has obtained a photograph of Superb Starling to date; such a photo would be valuable.
