I saw a decent size flock of robins on the Chekika road last monday (a week ago), south of the ENP entrance, south of the road that gets you there (168th St?), around the spot where there is a small lake on the east side of the road and people often go fishing. Last year I saw robins and cedar waxwings there a couple of times. This time there were the robins and numerous yellow rumped warblers gorging themselves
on the red berries. I sat in my car for quite a while and they forgot I was there so i had a chance to watch, listen and enjoy.
Did the robins go to Cuba? I found no evidence of cigars nor Havana Club.

: "...is this the same squirrel as the endangered Big Cypress Fox Squirrel? OK all of you squirrel experts, here's your chance to shine."

: The research I found at many sites on the net indicate that mangrove=fakahatchee=Big Cypress Fox squirrel. The one I saw was black head, dark grey body and enough white to make me think it was a skunk...I supect the white was on the feet or tail. Whatever..this is a bird page, so: guess what...Cedar Waxwings are moving northward through PArkland/Coral springs and very very few robins passed through 8 days ago. Did the robins not go south to Cuba this year?
