Brief seawatches have been productive the past 2 days. Northern Gannets continue in constant flocks of 10-15 birds. About 4-6 jaegers can be found with each sweep and all but Pomarine remain out of good ID range. Some Pomarines have been purposefully heading south while the acrobatic jaegers remain offshore. A single dark duck flew by, looking very much like a White-winged Scoter. Red-breasted Mergansers and Lesser Scaup fly by in flocks of 7-10 and yesterday 2 Common Loons motored south. Magnificent Frigatebirds number ~20, including many immatures.
At Cape Florida, Nashville and Black-throated Blue Warblers are either very late or plan to winter.
