Birded the park this morning in search of migrants which were far and few. Besides killer looks at the La Sagra's the best part of the morning was running into Brian Rapoza. After showing the flycatcher to visiting birders Paul and Priscilla and Larry and Marsha we headed out to look for the Great Cormorant which was a no show. On the way back Brian pointed out a Gray Kingbird on the wire just outside the lighthouse path on the main road. After Brian left a few small flocks of Palms were around along with some bright Prairie Warblers. A Blue-headed Vireo and was seen near the La Sagra's Fly which was about 50 yards in from the south end of the nature trail.
The wind has taken a shift out of the west about an hour ago or so, just now birds have begun to fly over. Nothing spectacular but some new life has shown up. Typing this while listening to a Black-throatd Blue Warbler singing with a Catbird singing in the backround!
Nature is Awesome
