Dear Minister Ramnarine,
I am writing to ask your help in stopping the Calder Hunt quarry's destruction of the Asa Wright Nature Center in your country. All around the world, birds are dying off due to habitat destruction. Your country boasts bird life that the rest of the world can only envy, and because of that bird life, naturalists from around the world come to be able to experience, if only for a few days, wonders that they cannot experience in their own countries. Needless to say, these naturalists bring economic gain through ecotourism. Even more than economic value is the value the Asa Wright Center brings to to the people of Trinidad. A place that people of all ages can come to to learn about the natural beauty their country is wealthy in. Please, Minister Ramnarine, make a stand for your children and your grandchildren. A quarry is a commonplace throughout the world, but birdlife, and a place where birdlife is protected, is an increasingly rare thing.
