Upon further review, I can't rule out the possibility that the bird I saw was a female Red-winged Starling rather than a Tristram's. It was definitely an Onychognathus starling with a dark body and eye, red primaries, and a gray head, neck, and streaked upper breast. Anyone know what the diagnostic characteristics are for the two taxa? I'll keep an eye out for it tomorrow.
