They commonly use such habitat on migration and in winter.

: What are the habitats to a northern waterthrush? I ve seen a few (7) in mangroves, near the water at the Deering Estate.
: I was told that, is the wrong habitat, for a Northern waterthrush. And they are most common in hammocks.
: I have seen this bird in hammock and in the mangroves near the water (extremely close to the water)
: Does anyone know if they would be near water in mangroves or not.
: And, no I m not seeing a female red-winged blackbird.
