At 9 a.m. today, Thursday, September 9, 2004, Rock Jetty and I located two Hudsodian Godwits at the location as previously posted (Limosa haemastica) about 150 yards out in a sod farm along US 27 in Palm Beach County. I have placed a 3 ft. piece of yellow nylon rope pointing to where we located the birds. The birds are adults molting from alternate to basic plumage and appear to be a male and female, as their is a noticeable size difference. They were still there when we left at 10:00 a.m. Life is good.......... knowing I got Rock's wedding gift out of the way. Say a prayer that he and his fiance can get out on their flight for Arkansas on Monday with Hurricane Ivan breathing down our necks.
