The AMERICAN FLAMINGOS that have been around for at least two weeks were UNBELIEVABLE!! Capt Pete Frezza [(305)393-0982 pfrezza@audubon.org] picked Robin, David and I up at the Flamingo marina (8am)and in less than an hour we were looking at 5 adults and 14 immature - AWESOME! It was beyond my expectations. Thousands of shorebirds on the flats. Pete has a great FAST flat bottom skiff and can get you as close as the birds allow. You can even set up your scope!! He is a great guide. You may even want to hire for a fishing guide while you're out. Picture will be forthcoming!
