Here is the photo of the Northern Cardinal and Sphinx Moth larva that Bob Mellor & I saw at Bill Baggs Cape Florida SP on Friday, January 13th while looking for the "alleged" LaSagra's Flycatcher. Note that the Northern Cardinal is banded. Robin, did you band this bird? I have been running full throttle since yesterday from our trip to South Florida and then again today with the STA-5 tour, so I didn't have time to ID the caterpillar yet.
