. . . I was driving home this afternoon, southbound on US 1, in bumper-to-bumper traffic, when I came upon a car parked in the center lane with its hazard lights flashing. Other cars were trying to maneuver around the vehicle; as I tried to do the same, I noticed, about a half-block down US 1, the driver of the vehicle, chasing a Cattle Egret that had wandered into the road.

Now I'm torn: Should this person be a) commended? or b) institutionalized?
