The immature Great Cormorant that Liz Golden found this morning continues in Bill Baggs Cape Florida SP, but at a different location. This afternoon from ~1-2:30 PM, it remained on the lighthouse jetty, which is on the opposite side of the peninsula tip than the fishing platforms. The species field marks of gray bill, white throat, yellow chin and thick legs are easily seen. The demarcation on the breast is evident and the belly is white with heavy streaks.
After entering BBCFSP, drive to the south end of the park. You can either park at the south end of Area C or the east end of Area D and walk to the lighthouse. If the lighthouse compound gate is closed, use the farthest south boardwalk to the beach and then walk south to the jetty.
