The Hooded Mergansers were nowhere to be seen today but the C6 impoundment still seems to be the place-of-choice for many waders, ducks, and over a dozen Snipes. (Anyone interested in a Snipe hunt tonight? Be sure to bring your flashlight and a paper bag!)

After checking out everything in C6, we spent the rest of our time looking mostly for little birds so we never made a complete trek around any of the other impoundments.

A large flock of Nanday Parakeets were on the wires entering the preserve and another flock of Monk Parakeets circled and landed in some Cypresses later in the morning. Loxahatchee may be turning into Parrot Jungle. :)
