Whatever factors attracted the bird from 03-05 also attracted these two, which are clearly not the same bird as years before. These may include the canal nearby with an open field, a fence to perch, and maybe something we do not see so obvious but the birds do. In Arizona, I saw a ton of Vermilions in one area along the San Pedro River (not much of a river at the time), but nowhere else. It works the same for every species: they go to the same places as other members of their species becuase these locations have what the birds need.
