I decided to check the landfill wetlands in the hopes that the "cold" front had brought something in. Larry Manfredi had the same idea, but even his presence didn't result in new birds. After we circled the ponds, Larry went home and I walked the jetty at Black Point.

Landfill Wetlands, Bird highlights: White Pelican, Wood Stork, Gadwall, Mottled Duck, Blue-winged Teal, Shoveler, Pintail (4), Green-winged Teal, Ring-necked Duck, RB Merganser, Bald Eagle (2), NRW Swallow, Cave Swallow, and possibly Sacred Ibis. Reptiles: Caiman (1)

Black Point: Lesser Scaup (ca. 225), Wigeon (1), Mottled Duck (6), RB Merganser (10)

Many of the ducks are in breeding plumage.
