Thanks, Toe and Bob, for your informative words on Florida pelagic possibilities--reminds me why I read these bird forums AND why I keep going out to sea with Michael Brothers, time after time. Hope! I've seen many amazing birds on these trips--to name a few: Band-rumped-Storm-Petrel, Black-capped Petrel, Black-legged Kittiwake, Sabine's Gull, both White-tailed and Red-billed Tropicbirds ON THE SAME TRIP! Most certainly we are overdue for a mega. I'm always a bit surprised that more folks from S FL don't participate. Florida is very lucky to have this pelagic program available to us. Car pool, share a room, it's do-able!
