This morning the following shorebirds were seen along the northern third of the beach (between the north-most boardwalk and the condominiums) at Cape Florida State Park:
- 6 Piping Plover
- 2 Semipalmated Plover
- 2 Ruddy Turnstone
- 1 Sanderling
- 5 Least Sandpipers

A Reddish Egret was also seen foraging at the water's edge, and Barn Swallows were swooping low over the dunes.

A warning: the mosquitos have been particularly bad this week at the park, though not so bad along the beach. Bring repellent!
