I read about a year ago about pigeon fanciers shooting red-tailed hawks out west somewhere. It would seem that the hawks go after roller pigeons ( they actually have a seizure and "roll" in the air) because the hawks saw them as injured and easy prey.
How sad that the same thing is happening here. I have at least one Cooper's in my area and possibly a sharp-shinned. I hope we can find out who is doing this!
