I have a friend in Kendall who threatened to call the cops on a pigeon fancier who wanted to shoot at a Cooper's Hawk. I wonder if it is the same guy.
BTW, a cousin found an injured immature Cooper's Hawk last week near Sweetwater with a wound in its head full of maggots, some of which were coming out of its eyes(sorry if anyone reading this is eating). At first I though the bird was blind. Gave it to my brother who works at the zoo. The bird recovered and we released it at Indian Hammocks a couple of days ago.
