RFI--Snail Kites and Scrub-Jays

I will be in Miami briefly in mid-July and am interested in finding these two species. No one I've spoken to has had recent experience with the kites, and I'd be grateful for any specific guidance. What are my best bets?

I also learned from one correspondent that the jays can no longer be found at Jonathan Dickinson State Park but that they can be found along roads near Palm Beach. I'd also appreciate any further info on where to reliably find these birds, within a reasonable drive of Miami.
