Interesting that you thought the vast majority of the dowitchers were Short-billed Dowitchers and that you only saw one Long-billed. Several of us saw both species as well except that we thought the majority were Long-billed based mostly on call. I'd be interested to hear what others who have been out there think. Also, did you not have Caspian & Forster's Terns as well as Black Skimmers anywhere? We had 6 tern species on Wednesday plus 17 species of shorebirds. The "jefe" at Syx Mile Bend Sod Farm allowed us to drive up and down the sod farm lanes on that property and some nice close photos of the Upland Sandpipers were taken. That property definitely has the most Uppies I've seen in Florida at one time. Anyone see any Solitary Sandpipers out there? That's one species I have not seen in the EAA this year . . . .
