The problem with shorebirds in Miami-Dade and Collier Counties is about to be remedied. Governor Scott has announced that "it takes too long to get a permit" in Florida. Once he shortens the process, then shorebirds will be able to get occupancy permits and will begin to settle in at local sites, instead of all going to Palm Beach County.
