Toe, if you think Miami-Dade is bad for shorebirds, come to Collier. There are no real habitats for them here other than the beach areas. There are a few sod farm areas out toward Ave Maria, but I've only seen very limited pipers on them. I only know of one "accurate" sighting of an Upland Sandpiper in Collier and it was out there. . . .
