I've been in there in the past year or so. You can access on SW 17th Rd. It has a high fence that surrounds it, so it seems quite safe. I think bird wise it is probably limited because it is a small area, but I'm sure there are some migrants from time to time. There is a small pond/fountain which seems like it would attract birds fiending for fresh water if they were tired from a flight.
